The contest in brief

Jury members will visit properties between July 18th and August 1st. A photographer will stop by after they leave, and take some shots to capture your efforts for history. The awards evening will be September 13th. Participants will be informed about the details throughout the summer.

Awards Presentation

There will be two awards for each of the categories, Les Quatre Iris and Les Trois Iris, for each municipal sector. The awards will be accompanied by gift certificates. Participation and attendance awards will also be given out during the evening.

Diane Desnoyer's award

Participants in the Residential category who have won a first or second prize in at least two previous editions since 2005, will automatically be registered in this special category. Winners will receive Gatineau's Les Cinq Iris.

Gatineau and the Société d'horticulture et d'écologie de l'Outaouais invite you to participate in the Fleurir Gatineau 2010 contest.

The aim of the contest is to promote Gatineau's beautification by involving residents and rewarding their landscaping efforts and achievements.

You could win one of two awards, along with their gift certificates, in one of the categories. As well, three participation awards will be handed out, including gift certificates valued at $1,000, $500 and $250, all provided by local horticultural centres.

The marks awarded by the jury members are available on request from the Fleurir Gatineau office and on our Web site. Any category that falls short of the 10 contestants minimum will be combined with another.

Gatineau and the Société d'horticulture et d'écologie de l'Outaouais thank you for the beautiful landscapes you are creating for your fellow residents' viewing pleasure. The contest's success depends on your participation.
