Amanda McCavour's latest wire installation is composed of thousands of neon pink embroidered shapes that create an imaginary field of flowers. These delicate, glowing artificial forms are suspended in space so as to imitate nature in bloom while creating a field of colour. This installation transforms the interior space into a surreal outdoor landscape and explores the duality of embroidery: the delicacy of an element in relation to the mass created by its accumulation; and its fragility, in opposition to the structural strength of the installation.
